OUR MATCH AGAINST RABAT IS A MUST WIN

SuperSport United midfielder Thandani Ntshumayelo emphasized that their second leg match against Morocco’s F.U.S De Rabat is crucial and they must ensure they come back home victorious.

The team leaves for Morocco on Tuesday night and the match is scheduled for Sunday at 6:30 pm.

“Our squad is depleted but we are ready to continue where we left off. There are players who are no longer in our books and others are out injured. However, there’s no pressure at all, we just need to go there and fight to win again. But it’s not going to be an easy one. We did our homework and we are also prepared for the Sunday clash,” said Ntshumayelo from the O.R Tambo International airport.

Ntshumayelo says they are aware that Rabat will go all out to score a goal and playing at home is a big advantage for them.

“We won with a small margin in the first leg, but if we score more goals away and not concede, that will be fantastic for us. We must ensure that we don’t concede, otherwise we will put ourselves under unnecessary pressure,” he said.

United, who won the first leg in Tshwane two weeks ago, will be minus their captain and Bafana Bafana defender Bongani Khumalo who picked up an injury last week on Friday.

“What is important for us is to accept the situation the way it is and move on. Injuries are part and parcel of the game therefore we will have capable replacements for those who are unavailable for selection,” he concluded.

The team leaves at 7:30 pm and will be back next week on Wednesday morning.
