Football fraternity pays tribute to the late Luke Fleurs

Premier Soccer League (PSL) outfit Kaizer Chiefs organized memorial service for their late player Luke Fleurs this afternoon.

The service was held at the 2010 FIFA World Cup Final venue FNB Stadium.

The 24-year-old-Cape Town-born centre-back passed on two weeks ago.

The attendees included Luke’s ex-teammates at SuperSport United Football Club, Jammie Webber who has since joined Sekhukhune United Football Club and Ronwen Williams, Teboho Mokoena, Sipho Mbule and Grant Kekana who have crossed the floor to neighbours Mamelodi Sundowns Football Club.

Representatives from other countries such as Botswana (Township Rollers Football Club

), Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) and FIFA President Gianni Infantino send their sincere condolences through the South African Football Association (SAFA).

Also, the Gauteng Province Premier Panyaza Lesufi and club officials from other PSL clubs attended the Memorial Service.
