SuperSport United DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) prospect Aphiwe Baliti made his maiden appearance for the senior in the DStv Premiership match last week.

Baliti’s dream came true when he formed part of the Matsatsantsa team that hosted Polokwane City at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville on Wednesday night after he got promoted early this year.

The stocky defender came off the bench for Lyle Lakay in the 60^th minute and delivered a beautiful assist six minutes later to make the score 1-1 through Etiosa Ighodaro as Matsatsantsa were trailing.

Four days later, the 2023 DDC gold medalist started another league match at the same venue, unfortunately his team lost 2-0 to Chippa United.

Baliti joined the SuperSport United development academy in 2022 from the amateur side Mpheni Defenders.

The 22-year-old-George-born talented left-back represented South Africa in the national under23 squad.
