Bafana Bafana returned on home soil from the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast on Wednesday morning with their Bronze medals.

The number three nation on the African continent received heroes’ welcome from the supporters upon arrival at the OR Tambo International in Kempton Park, Ekurhuleni.

South Africa beat the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) 6-5 on penalties after a goalless draw in regulation time on Saturday night.

Upon arrival, the team was addressed by the President of the South African Football Association (SAFA) Danny Jordaan, Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture Zizi Kodwa and Bafana Skipper Ronwen Williams.

Meanwhile the players will return to their respective Football Clubs for the resumption of the DStv Premiership starting this coming Friday.
