Gabuza wins award

Following a two-match ban, SuperSport United centre forward Thamsanqa Gabuza came back revitalized to help his team beat Kaizer Chiefs on the weekend.

The big match was held at the FNB Stadium in Crown Mines on Saturday night.

The striker scored the only goal of the match as Matsatsantsa won 1-0 in a nippy Easter long weekend.

Also, Gabuza deservedly won man of the match award after displaying some brilliant performances on the night.

The solitary goal took the KwaZulu-Natal-province-born forward’s tally to seven on the DStv Premiership top scorers chart.

The victory saw Matsatsantsa remaining in the top half of the league table.

United, who are guided by interim coach and Bafana Bafana legend Andre Arendse after parting ways with Kaitano Tembo, are currently on position eight having played 25 matches with 34 points.

Matsatsantsa are left with five matches to see out the current season and if Gabuza continues with his impressive form, he will definitely help his team collect maximum points and finish the league in a respectable position.

Meanwhile United will play their next league match on the road against the Limpopo-based-outfit Marumo Gallants this coming weekend.
