SuperSport United Development Academy showed a strong performance over the weekend in the Gauteng Development League (GDL) as they faced off against Wits Academy at Megawatts Park.

The day kicked off with the U13 side setting the tone, securing a 2-0 victory. Okuhle Mkhize opened the scoring before Akhona Ripa doubled the lead, finishing off a move assisted by Loyola Ripa. Next up, the U14s continued the winning momentum with a 2-1 triumph. Okorabile Tiro struck first, followed by a second goal from General to clinch the result.

In the third fixture, the U15s maintained the team's unbeaten run on the day with a solid 2-0 win. OG found the back of the net for the opener, and Asanele Mabaso added the second to seal the game.

The U17s delivered a commanding 4-1 victory in the penultimate match. Thiery Mashoko scored the opener from a Rocco Rodrigues assist, Denver Ochieng netted the second, David Stober made it 3-1 following a pass from Ochieng, and Sethu Sibiya completed the scoring with a fourth goal, set up by Stober.

Despite the excellent run across the junior sides, the U19s were edged 1-0 by Wits Academy in the final match of the day.
