SuperSport United centre-forward Bradley Grobler netted a brace when his team beat rookies Cape Town Spurs 2-1 in a DStv Premiership encounter last night.
The match was held at the Athlone Stadium in Cape Town.
The victory saw Matsatsantsa leaping from position four to number two on the DStv Premiership log table.
The home side opened the scoring account in the early stages of the first half through forward Therlo Moosa.
United’s Grobler levelled matters as the match went into the halftime break 1-all.
Spurs were pushing to get either a point or win their first match of the season after seven consecutive losses but it never worked according to their wishes.
It was Grobler again who completed his brace in the 86th minute following a brilliant delivery from substitute Terrence Dzvukamanja.
The United victory aggravated Spurs’ situation as they registered eight matches and the same number of losses.
Meanwhile Matsatsantsa will have a short break this coming weekend before preparing for their next league match.
