Matsatsantsa eye maximum points as they welcome Polokwane City in Tshwane

SuperSport United welcome the Limpopo-based-outfit Polokwane City FC in a crucial midweek DStv Premiership encounter.

The match is scheduled for Lucas Moripe Stadium on Wednesday night.

Kickoff is at 19:30.

Matsatsantsa did not kick off a new year on a positive note as they recorded many draws and dropped points.

According to head coach Gavin Hunt, his charges must start collecting maximum points as they want to finish where they will be able to participate on the continent next season.

“"We will take it game by game and we have to dust ourselves, that's for sure. I think it's very attainable (second place). I think who we are playing and where we are playing, we still have a big chance and things can turn quickly.

"Everybody is playing for something and we have a quick turnaround, which is good or bad, I don't know. We are playing on Wednesday (tonight) and we have to pick ourselves up,” Matsatsantsa head coach Gavin Hunt stressed.

The experienced mentor also emphasized that his charges must rectify where things went wrong and become a better team going forward.

"What we say and do between now and then, we can talk all day, it is not going to help. We need to get things right. We have an area where we need to get better." Said the coach.

This is not going to be an easy one for the home side who lost their last match (Cup) to Stellenbosch on the road.

SuperSport are currently on Position six on the DStv Premiership log table having played 22 matches and have bagged 34 points.

United will rely heavily on players such as Shandre Campbell, Etiosa Ighodaro, Siphesihle Ndlovu, Grant Margeman and Bradley Grobler.

The two sides played out to a 1-all draw in the league’s first round at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane last year.

The match will be televised live on SuperSport channel 202.
