SuperSport United website conducted Q and A with Mbombela basec Matsatsantsa supporters coordinator Surprise Sithole regarding the COVID19 and how much they miss live football.
How is Mbombela and how do you guys cope with lockdown? Are the people on that end adhere to the lockdown rules?
We are doing fine, we are just missing to support our team and we are trying to comply to stay Indoors till end of Lockdown.
How much do you miss live football?
I miss football so much. I know it’s nothing in comparison to what’s going on in the world at the moment, but my God football makes me happy, especially watching it live. It fills me with passion, joy and happiness I miss the boys, Matsatsantsa and of course the Brass Band.
How do you and other Matsatsantsa supporters keep in touch or keep your conversation going?
I have nothing but respect for all my mates and supporters of the club. My point is their other ways of communicating with on Facebook group and WhatsApp. All officials of the club will happily discuss any issues we have. We are planning to give them our full support after Lockdown.
What do you talk about mostly?
We talk mostly about our previous games and recruiting new supporters so we can fill up the Stadium. I think our boys will do better and end up in the top three bracket. We were doing fine.
What is your message to the football community regarding the COVID19 that has gripped the whole world?
We must continue to keep the required distance between ourselves and others. The face cover is not a substitute for social distancing, we can avoid close contact with people who are sick. Stay At Home as much as possible and avoid non-essential travels. Wash our hands often with soap and water so we can stay safe.
